Deep red color is the first thing that catches one’s eyes. The brushstrokes are much more intense than what they appear from a distance. White lines form the contour line and cold color forms the shadow, the shape of some sort of creature gradually becomes visible. The eyes are depicted in a strongly sculpted manner that look as if they are popping out of the painting. As the artist claims, as long as you keep painting a lot, you will gradually get closer to drawing the best line. For Minoura, painting is the result of the accumulation of achieving such optimal lines and colors. From this complex layering of colors and lines, the artist unravels those tangled threads and derives an image that seems to be a living creature. That is why Minoura does not follow the set rules in depicting a painting - he hopes the viewers will also change their practices of seeing a painting and face it with a brand-new sensation.
