A slightly greyish subdued screen is filled with vivid and bright colors that are typical of recent Frize’s works. The continuous grid-like structure on the large F200-sized screen gives a neat impression. Numerous colors are mixed and stretched up and down, seemingly random at first glance, but the same background color can be seen all the way from top right to bottom left. However, it looks like this because of its size that can be seen from a distance, and the color structure would not be consciously aware of when viewed up close. Upon a closer look, one’s attention is very likely to be captivated by the beauty of translucent colors, and the delicate transformation of gradations. The skillful manipulation of the artwork’s size, drawing techniques, colors, and screen composition all show the essence of Frize.
