Glass beads are threaded onto nylon strands hanging from the ceiling. The strands stop just short of reaching the floor, leaving the beads suspended in midair. The purple, blue, and pale green glass beads transmit light and sway in the breeze. Their colors shift upward from pale green to purple and blue. The work evokes the passage of time in which the dark night sky gradually gives way to daylight emerging beyond the horizon. The blackness of night that should continue beyond the blue beads is absent from the work. Through this absence, we are invited to imagine the darkness of night even more vividly.
