One of three-part works in a series, this work vividly depicts slime gradually covering the artist’s face, as if captured in a sequence of photographs. One does not normally experience the sensation of slime directly touching the face. The discomfort is conveyed to the viewer as a visceral, skin-prickling sensation. Tomozawa’s painting practice is rooted in a pursuit of realism. The work was presented at the MOT Annual 2023, "Synergies, or between creation and generation," held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.
