This work seems to be an installation of drawing depicting nine standing “Yakalina” statues, otherwise implying an interpretation of a ceremony. Nine pieces of “Yakalina” statues are depicted in the upper center of the work, each of them corresponds to the colors and numbers of the Enneagram. A 3 x 3 magic circle is depicted in the lower right corner of the work. Dürer also depicted magic circles with Kakuro puzzles on his famous “Melencolia”. Even in classical art, the rationality and mysteries of numbers had inspired many artists. Klee’s works had been depicted with magical circles and numbers as well. The turtle’s shell also appears to be split into nine pieces. Although there is no interpretation from the artist, the numbers and figures are reminiscent of divination and numerology.
