What if a monument of Pikachu were excavated after many years? “Fictional Archeology” is a recurring concept in Arsham’s work, as he transforms contemporary icons into relics of the past and excavates new meanings from them. What kind of past might people imagine from this statue in a future where Pikachu has been forgotten?
