Although this may seem like Delhomme’s typical landscape painting of a bland building, yet upon closer observation, one can see Delhomme’s painting hanging onto the exterior of the property. It is as if there was a painting-in-painting, revealing the night scene of his solo exhibition, “Artist in Residence・La SIRA” in 2020. Instead of submerging into a deep indigo night, the off-white building and painting stand out from the dark, seem to express the artist's hope and confidence. Such affirmation towards oneself and others is common to Delhomme’s paintings.
