This work contains a variety of materials as if trying to be stuffed with Kito’s overwhelming imagination. The extended square-shaped base panel attached with colorful fabrics is being twisted inward and highly deformed. The boldly deviated loop-shaped structure projected away from the canvas surface area, almost hesitate to call this a painting. In the same way as Kito’s ongoing creation of hula hoop installations, this work makes the viewer imagine that the loop is extending outward into another space behind the screen that it penetrates. “big rip” is a theoretical hypothesis about the expansion and extinction of the universe. Kito visualized the image inside his brain in two dimensions, further expands the space, and takes the element of time insatiably into his creation to imitate the accelerating expansion of the universe. If we are to cross the tipping point one day, will creativity ever cease even if the universe comes to an end?
