Blue seems to be associated with the birth of life for Sasaki. The artist has mentioned that her prenatal memory was blue. In this work, too, various shades of blue (ranging from green to grayish blue) are mixed together like marbling. For some reason, it gives the impression of a bird’s eye view, as if looking down to the sea from high above the sky. The bright white which acts as a strong highlight stands in sharp contrast to the dark ultramarine blue, creating a sense of depth to this work.
