This work is from Teramoto’s ongoing “Patio” series. As the title “Patio- with mountains” suggests, it depicts deep green mountains forming a valley on the upper center portion and, sailing with the wind, a climbing kite high up in the sky. The viewpoint is extremely high, slightly higher than where the bird in the center is. Inside a huge basket of a crane-like object, a man is about to lower some mysterious tool towards the ground. With just a glimpse of this work, viewers can easily spot its multiple elements. It is a work unique to Teramoto, who perceives “Patio” as a space for equality of all things.
