This work depicts seamless white lines layered with complex colors. The free form spray painting is randomly gushing over with colors. It does not appear to form any sort of pattern. Nevertheless, neither does it seem to be a result of complete unconsciousness nor coincidences. In fact, the artist’s sensations and logic exist - by means of repetition of non-verbal thinking. Okuten is attempting to visualize undifferentiated sensations that cannot be defined by words. Painting techniques may be enhanced through art education, but perfection does not necessarily mean good art. The rounded corners on the canvas also seem to reject the typical painting in rectangular shape.
