壁画をはじめとして、家具、陶器、床など、キャンバス以外にも日常空間に絵画を描くことで知られるパーティだが、本作は彼がそういった仕事でよく用いるカラフルなアーモンド型のパターンがラウンド・テーブル一面に描かれている。特に壁画については展覧会のためのインスタレーションとしてではなく、展示空間の中において絵画がいかに受容されるべきものなのかという問いとして行われている。本作は円卓の天板だけでなく四方の脚に至るまでの全てが絵画の支持体となっている。四角いキャンバスに描かれた絵画が壁にかけられているという当たり前の枠組みから逸脱し、絵画とテーブルという機能性の融合によって作品が日常空間へと入り込んでくる。当コレクションでは美術館の蔵書開架コーナーに置かれ、来館者は自由に利用できる。
