This work is a time-lapse video that captures the melting of a 60 kg block of frozen pigment. Through the "Into Air" project, Ng expresses the three states of matter, solid, liquid, and gas, through distinct forms of artistic expression. This work represents the liquid state and the process of change over time. The frozen block represents the solid state, while the photograph "Clocks" captures it in a static state. Finally, the remaining color appears in the painting "Ash," representing the trace left behind after the water evaporates and disappears into the air. As the block melts in the video, the colors intermingle and cascade endlessly like a waterfall.
