“Lampshare” is a coined term combining “lampshade” and “share”. This functional sculptural work is a lighting fixture made from reclaimed plastic. Several small planters are incorporated into the light, allowing plants to grow alongside the touch-activated lamps. Plants are nurtured through plastic that harms the natural environment. As humans living amid simultaneous destruction and regeneration, this work also serves as a practical sculpture that encourages people to share an awareness of our interconnectedness.
