The sharp red base is crisscrossed with bright blue nets. Adjoining the complementary colors, creates a remarkable halation, giving the illusion of shimmering depictions of the nets. In recent years, Kusama has been working on a series called “Every Day I Pray for Love.” Paintings adorned with short verses about love mark a new direction in Kusama's art, combining the motifs of dots and net she has used so far. This work was presented at her solo exhibition titled “Every Day I Pray for Love.” This work is similar to her previous “Infinity Nets,” but for an artist who has spent her entire life affirming her hallucinations of nets and polka dots from her pathological aspect, it now seems to transcend into a representation of human love. Behind the infinity of nets, there is infinite love.
