In this six-part work, snapshots of the days Gander spent engaging with a vast number of Picasso’s works through the “Picasso and I” project are presented very much like images shown on social media. Gander and Picasso appear to overlap in strange ways. One speculates freely, imagining stories that differ from the facts, wondering, “Perhaps it was this way?” or “No, perhaps it was another,” as though they were real. Gander describes these as “realities and situations that can exist in parallel”. Human beings are always situated at the leading edge of multiple possible paths.
