Born in Kanazawa in 1958, Ohi Chozaemon XI is the eldest son of Ohi Chozaemon X. He completed a master's degree at Boston University in 1985 and succeeded to the name Ohi Chozaemon XI in 2016. Based in Kanazawa, he works across tea ceramics, architectural ceramics, design, and spatial production. He became a member of the Japan Art Academy in 2025.
